Note: compare-at-price (sale price) is NOT the same as a “discount” in shopify.

tl;dw it’s an advanced customization you pretty much need an app, or hardcode the info, discounts exist AFTER an item is in the actual cart.

You can use a 3rd party app to apply custom discounts for each products and show them on the product page.
I can suggest DiscountRay-Wholesale Pricing app to achieve this functionality. For example: you can apply different custom discounts for each products and also show them on the product page in a list or table view. You can also apply different discounts on different variants with this app. You can apply percentage discount or fixed discounts and also choose how you want to show this on the product page. You can either show it as percentage or a fixed amount. The key benefit of DiscountRay is that it allows you to show discounted prices directly on the product, not just in the cart. This will ensure customers see the discounted price upfront without having to add items to their cart.

This is a really common limitation in Shopify. Discounts don’t truly live on the product page — they’re calculated later at cart or checkout — which is why compare-at pricing only gets you part of the way there.
If you want discounts to feel “built in” per product or customer type, the usual approach is to control who can buy what rather than trying to force Shopify’s discount system to behave differently.
You can do this manually by tagging customers and conditionally showing pricing or purchase options in the theme, but it gets fragile pretty fast with Dawn because of how pricing updates dynamically.
I built Latch for this exact use case. Instead of fighting discounts, you lock products or collections to specific customer tags (B2B, VIP, members, etc.), and those customers automatically see the correct products and pricing without needing discount codes or checkout hacks.

With Easify Product Options, you can achieve this through the Tiered Wholesale Pricing feature, which allows you to set up quantity-based discounts with specific percentages or fixed discount values for each individual product or product group.
Here’s an example I’ve created so you can see how it works:

The setup is quite simple. First, you create the product and its variants in Shopify as usual. In this case, I’m using image swatches to display the flavor options for the product.
Then, in Easify Product Options, you enable the Tiered Wholesale Pricing feature in the Settings section and create discount rules based on quantity tiers.
