On Dec 5 we received an email about Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) Takedown Notice (Notice) alleging that content in our app, was infringing the Complainant’s intellectual property.
The support has attached a letter, however, that PDF file was empty. They mentioned that issue has to be resolved within one business day.
On the same day, we requested a letter with details. Only the next day we received the letter with issues to be resolved.
But our app was delisted just a few hours later. It is important to note that we still had time to resolve everything.
In less than 24 hrs after we received the letter with issues, we informed the team that infringing content had been removed from the app’s listing.
Since the first email didn’t contain any details, we were unable to resolve the issue within the given time.
We’ve tried to contact Shopify Trust & Safety for almost 10 days, but no reply.
