I tried paying using a debit card in my Shopify store and the following error pops up. Can I know why?
The product im trying to buy cost $0.10 but when I tried on paypal and credit card payment method, it works.
Pls help ASAP!

I’m Ava from Shopify, I’d like to help here.
Can I ask what payment gateway you’re currently using to accept orders on your store? The payment gateway itself may not accept debit card payments, so it’s best to check with them to make sure it’s ok to use debit cards at checkout.
Also, could you check the abandoned checkouts section of your admin and select the test order you’ve just tried with the debit card? The abandoned checkout section (under the Orders tab in the admin) will show you any order that has not been completed or has been abandoned halfway through the checkout process. If you select the order you’ve just tried, then click on History, you can see the payment event timeline. This should show you a reason why the card was declined at checkout. Sometimes payment on a debit card can be blocked by your bank if it does not recognise the charge!
