Does Shopify display the main or second domain URL?

Hi community,

I’m unsure about how the 2nd domain will operate.

Currently, my main domain in Shopify is functioning properly.

In the event that I integrate a 2nd domain into Shopify, I am uncertain whether Shopify will display my main domain URL or the 2nd domain URL when a user accesses the 2nd domain via its URL.

If you integrate a second domain into Shopify, visitors who enter that domain’s URL will see that domain as the URL in their browser, but the website content will still be served from your main domain in Shopify. As a result, both domains will display the same website content, and users can access your website using either domain.

To illustrate, if your main domain is “example” and you add a second domain named “secondary”, visitors who enter “secondary” in their browser will see that domain as the URL, while the website content will still be served from “example”.
