Hello,

We are a small non profit and are moving our site to Shopify but we don’t see that Shopify offers any non profit themes but we did find some on the web. I am assuming that since they are from the web that they are not supported by Shopify, correct? Maybe Shopify should offer one or two themes that are guided towards the non profit community. Though we do offer many favourable features for folks that operate NPOs and plan on operating their store for the NPO on Shopify, we don’t have a specific deal for themes, or specific themes tailored for NPOs. I think your suggestion here regarding having some themes tailored for NPOs, or even having cost-saving incentives for select themes, would be really valuable. I’m happy to pass this feedback along internally for future consideration.

When it comes to themes, we recommend that you only download and use themes from the Official Shopify Theme Store. Themes from this environment are vetted and QA’d by our Theme Team to make sure everything is as it needs to be for that theme. Any themes that you come across on third party sites, or from third party sources, are not something Shopify has been able to vet, meaning that there could be issues related to quality, functionality, and security.

I have a link here to a collection of our Free Themes that you can use to view some zero cost theme offerings. If you’d like to use one of the premium themes from our store, you would have to pay the cost to use it. As these premium themes are made by third party developers, you could try reaching out to these theme developers directly to see if that have any deals for NPOs that they may be able to provide, though I can’t promise if they do.
