Domain Status shows pending in Sender email section

Hi,

i purchased the domain via shopify, when i go to domain section , my domain name is connected and all works fine but when i go to settings and click on Sender Email section, there it says that domain status is pending. How can domain status be verified or activated?

Usually, this situation arises when you’re using an email address that is tied to a third party domain. Is the sender email you’re looking to use tied to a third party domain or is it tied to your Shopify-managed domain?

I have a couple questions I want to ask before we dive a bit deeper into what may be going on:

  • How long ago did you purchase the domain? You mentioned that you purchased the domain through Shopify so this information would be nice to have.
  • What status does your domain have when you access the domain settings in your Admin? Does it show as ‘pending’ there, as well?
  • Can you provide a screenshot of the screen you’re seeing that is showing that the domain is ‘pending’ when you’re looking at your sender email? Feel free to blur or block any information that may be there that you do not wish to show.

Thank you so much, the issue is resolved :slightly_smiling_face: , not sure what has happened but now no more domain status shown pending.

Glad to hear that things seemed to have resolved. It’s most likely that, since the domain was purchased through Shopify, it just needed a tad bit more time to propagate properly for your sender email settings. Usually we see verification issues with third party domains with the sender email and we don’t see those with Shopify domains so I’m pretty confident it was just a matter of waiting for the domain to verify.
