I’m trying to duplicate a product page on shopify on the Underground theme. I went to edit code, found the product template and duplicated that i.e copied and pasted into a new template with a new name. Then I went to the sections and duplicated the relevant product section. Then I created a new product and selected the product template I had duplicated. However I’m clearly missing a step as all the information is there but the formatting is completely off, there are no drop downs, pictures or buttons.
Go to your “tiny-conquerors-box” product in the admin and confirm that the template that’s being used on that product is the “Default product”. I suspect you duplicated the Default product template, but this page that you’re trying to duplicate appears to be more customized than a typical product page. If it’s not “Default product” then you’ll want to follow the same steps you did before, but instead of duplicating the default product-template, duplicate whatever template is being used on your “tiny-conquerors-box” product.
Thanks Ninthony. No it is not the default product template. It is a customised one. I duplicated the customised product template however the formatting is not working. Did I miss a step somewhere. Is there another section I should be updating?
I mean it sounds like you did everything right. I can’t really know unless I look at your code. If you’d like I can request access to your themes and take a look for you, if you’re comfortable with that.
