Duplicate Shipping Charge - Multiple Locations

Our Shopify store has 5x locations - with stock / inventory available from each location (each location will have different stock levels).

Currently when a customer adds products to their basket for delivery - stock may come from ‘Store 1’ and ‘Store 2’ for the combined order, however upon checkout the customer will then pay £8.00 for shipping rather than a standard rate of £4.00 - The shipping is being duplicated regardless.

There must be a way to overwrite this and have a simple set delivery charge regardless of location / weight / amount?

I’ve looked through the forums and can’t seem to find an answer or a solution from support. Surely there is a way around this without having to pay to enable CCS and then use a 3rd party plugin which costs additional?

Any help would be appreciated.

Same problem here. It’s so frustrating. I’ve been trying to fix it for two years. I’ve even tried several paid apps that promised they could fix it. They did not.

Shipeasy fixed our scenarios really quickly so look them up if you haven’t already ruled them out - they’ve been so helpful with setup. Siva is especially helpful. We have 2 stores, 6 stock locations (with duplicate skus and multiple variants) servicing different areas of the uk, as well as the use of various dropship suppliers, so we were delighted to have them recommended to us as a fix.

i wrote today with the support of the app shipping rates - ship easy. they said to me that there was this function once but since the shopify update since 2022 this probably does not work anymore.

does anyone have another worarround or another solution?

can shopify support maybe help? unfortunately i can’t get any further either

Now in 2023, we have found a solution for flat rate shippers facing this double charging issue. Using our app ShipMagic’s shipping customization feature, you can setup rules such that the customer is not double charged even if products are present in cart from more than one location.

This solution works without CCS and works on all Shopify plans.
