Ebay integration - seeking details on contract terms

I am new to shopify and need to know the details of the relationship bertween ebay and shopify? please provide details

Great question, and I am happy to explain this to you! The Ebay channel allows you to sync your products, manage your eBay orders, and even message customers using built in eBay messaging. Ebay can be easily integrated into your Shopify store, and this is what we would call a third party sales channel. Just to set some expectations, Ebay is a third party channel which is not developed by Shopify, so we do not have the access or knowledge to support the setup or integration of the Ebay channel. That being said, I do have resources and information for you to assist in the setup, as well as contact information for support.

Requirements for the Ebay sales channel.

  • Have a PayPal account connected to eBay
  • At least a Shopify Lite plan
  • Must have en eBay account registered to one of the following countries: the US, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, or Germany
  • eBay seller account is not already connected to a Shopify store

this is not what I am seeking help with, I am seeking the details of your relationship with ebay on the back end, IE, if a problem occurs with your software that effects my store within ebay what process do you have to fix this for me? IE, what support do you provide over and above the ebay customer service, do you have employees working in a ebay facility that can assist with helping a situation like this.

As mentioned in my previous post, as Ebay is a third party external channel not developed by Shopify, then this means the channel’s own external team fully supports it. This channel is not supported by Shopify unless there is a technical issue on the Shopify side. Ebay is simply a third party app which is installed on your store, see here.

If an issue should arise, and it is found to be coming from Shopify’s side, then our technical support team would be able to have a closer look for you. We do not have a dedicated Ebay support team within Shopify. Any issues related to the Ebay channel itself needs to be looked at by Ebay customer support, as we do not provide this support at this moment in time.

The relationship between eBay and Shopify is normal and they both support sellers from their respective platforms.

Sellers who have an account on eBay can sell their products on their Shopify store by deploying an Importer app for eBay once they have created their Shopify store. Meanwhile, when you want to sell on eBay while having an established Shopify store you can install an integration application that can provide you with the best in class features and functionalities.

To look for the best applications you can visit the Shopify app store and conduct a search for “eBay”. Use the features and customer ratings to get the best app that suits your needs.

Hi,
this is “Fluff” I am seeking details on how the integration works, IE,
what happens to inventory if it sells oout on one platform and then a
ebay sale happens? how is this handled?
