Email problem after forwarding domain to Shopify

To: Shopify Staff,

I have had an email issue with my domain. My domain has been forwarded to Shopify and now my email doesn’t work at my normal domain server. Can I setup an email on Shopify with the domain name that is forwarded to you? Also, I have it as my contact on the store, so I have no ability to communicate with customers or others on my main email address.

Was your email account hosted through your previous domain host as well? If yes, then you would need to continue paying for your email hosting through that provider. Shopify can provide email forwarding with a vanity customer email, but we do not provide email hosting directly.

Since you have transferred your domain to Shopify, I would recommend following the steps in our Help Center (Setting up email forwarding · Shopify Help Center)) to setup domain forwarding using that custom email address you had.
