Hello, I’m super new here and just opened my store. I immediately noticed that the first day I had two “customers” pop up on my customer report, with the same exact name but two different locations. A couple days later, it happened again with a different customer name but two locations. Then today I popped up with 50 new customers with the same name and varying states and cities in the US??? Uhhh what!? Anyone else had this happen? I’m a little sketched out now. These new ones have the same name as the second set of same name/diff location customers. Am I missing something here?

Sounds like bot-created accounts. Generally, it’s not a substantial concern unless the number of created accounts becomes too excessive.

Could well just be a dropshipper. They’ve found an item for a good price on your store and are selling it for a higher price to someone else and having you directly ship it to the consumer.

Same thing happened to me! I am also super new and wondering what’s going on. Around the same time my Shopify-Amazon integrated listings got hijacked on Amazon Seller Central and Shopify couldn’t figure out how it happened. I had to disconnect and reconnect all of them to get them to go live under my name instead of hijacker’s name Blitz International I believe. Could be a coincidence…Sketchy
