Facebook & Instagram sales channel may not work as expected until updated by the developer

Today when i saw my Facebook & instagram sales channel it’s says " You can use this sales channel, but it may not work as expected until the developer updates it. "

When i did some research i found the devolper who created Facebook & instagram sales channel for shopify have to update their APIs in order to stay connected. shopify updated APIs in every 3 months.

This is frustrating becuase i am getting sales from fb ads but pixel isn’t send this information back to ads manager.

If anyone having any suggestion or solution please let me know and if you also facing it then also let me know.

Hello @Aasif007 ,

I am Gina from flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $5Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot.

It is frustrating when technical issues like this arise, especially when they impact sales and advertising efforts.

Here are some suggestions for resolving the issue:

  1. Contact Shopify support to inquire about the issue and see if they have any updates or timelines for resolving it.

  2. Contact the Facebook Ads support team and ask if they have any workarounds or solutions for the issue. They may be able to offer alternative tracking methods or provide updates on when the API issue will be resolved.

  3. Consider using a third-party app or integration that can connect your Shopify store with Facebook Ads. These apps may have their own tracking methods or be able to connect with Facebook Ads in a different way that is not impacted by the API issue.

  4. In the meantime, keep a close eye on your ad campaigns and adjust them as needed based on the data you have available. While it may not be ideal to not have full tracking data, you can still optimize your campaigns based on other metrics like click-through rates and cost per click.

It’s also a good idea to stay up to date on any updates or changes to the API and tracking methods, as these can have a big impact on your advertising efforts.
