Facebook keeps disconnecting from shopify

It seems that nothing seems to work anymore to resolve the facebook disconnecting issue. I’ve tried every single solution offered in the community with absolutely zero luck. Can you please help ?

Just to gather some additional context, do you have multiple online stores that you are attempting to connect to the same Facebook Business page or Business Manager?

At the moment, you can have only one Shopify store connected to a Facebook Business page. If you attempt to connect another online store to the Facebook Business Page/Business Manager, this may result in a disconnection.

A Facebook Page should only be connected to one Shopify store, this is because the Commerce account, which is a requirement to setup Instagram Shopping and Facebook Shop, is tied to a Facebook Page and a Facebook product catalog. When you connect your Facebook account to Shopify’s Facebook sales channel, a user token is established and is unique to that shop and Facebook account combination.

Facebook can invalidate a user token for the following reasons:

  • Facebook detected the account password has changed
  • when the session expires (90 days)
  • any other reason, determined by Facebook.

Typically, if you are being disconnected from the Facebook sales channel, there could be a security reason that Facebook is disconnecting your online store. My suggestion in this case would be to check the permissions for the business manager to make sure they have admin access to the Facebook Business page.
