Facebook (Shopify) Shop only visible in US – Europe preview is greyed out

Topic summary

A user is experiencing issues with their Facebook Shop (integrated via Shopify) being visible only in the United States, while the Europe preview option appears greyed out in Meta Commerce Manager.

Current Setup:

  • Shopify’s “Facebook & Instagram by Meta” channel is connected
  • Products are available to the Facebook/Instagram sales channel
  • Shop and catalog are visible in Commerce Manager

The Problem:

  • Preview by location shows US as active but Europe is greyed out with an info icon
  • User is located in EU but cannot access the shop from their region
  • Unable to confirm if shop is actually visible to US users

Additional Challenge:
Facebook’s official help documentation appears outdated—certain settings mentioned in the guide (like checkout options) no longer appear in the current Commerce Manager interface.

The user is seeking guidance, particularly screenshots from others who have successfully enabled EU visibility for their Facebook Shop.

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to get my Facebook Shop (coming from Shopify) to show to people in Europe, but it only shows for the United States (although I haven’t actually been able to test from a US account to confirm it’s really visible there..)

Here’s what I see in Meta Commerce Manager: in Preview by location I get United States as active, but Europe is greyed out with the info icon. So the shop is basically visible in the US, but not in EU (I’m in EU!).
Shopify “Facebook & Instagram by Meta” channel is connected
Products are available to the Facebook/Instagram sales channel
In Commerce Manager I can see the shop and the catalog.
The guide at https://www.facebook.com/business/help/1314349509894768 doesn’t seem to be fully up to date with the current Commerce Manager interface, because some of the settings it mentions (like the checkout option) no longer appear where the guide says they should.
Any pointers or screenshots from someone who has the EU shop showing would help a lot…
Thank you.
