Faded Black Background On Product section - Dawn Theme

Topic summary

A store owner using the Dawn theme is struggling to apply a semi-transparent black background overlay to product pages, similar to what they’ve successfully implemented on other sections of their site.

Current Issue:

  • The background appears transparent instead of the desired faded black
  • They want low opacity on a black background to ensure text remains readable over background images
  • The problem is specific to the product page itself, not product cards in collections

Progress Made:

  • A helper provided CSS code that successfully fixed the product card backgrounds in collection/gallery views
  • The user also needs to know how to change text colors on product cards across all collections

Outstanding Problem:

  • The main product page still lacks the black opacity background overlay
  • The helper attempted to investigate further but encountered access issues with the store

Status: Unresolved - awaiting further troubleshooting for the product page background.

I want opacity low on a black background like the bottom two sections below Product pages have. Idk what I did to not get my background back to black but its stuck on transparent and I still want it to be a little bit dark so I can see the text. Itworked for the two sections beow the product but I cannot get it to work right on the Product Section.

I also need to know how I can change the colors of the texts on the product cards in all collections and sections. Not the product page.

Ok so it fixed the Product card in gallery but how do I give the actual product page a black opacity background like the two bottom sections I have made below enough to see the background image.

Click on a product and you will see what I mean.

Thank you for your help!

@DaiseyMaeCookie Sure I will help you but your store is not opening.
