I am using the basic plan and I don’t have shopify payments. When a customer pays using paypal, will I be charged 2% transaction fees and 2.9% + 30 cents credit card fees? Or only 2% transaction fees?

If you’re purchasing goods and services in the US, you don’t pay any fees for using Paypal.
If you’re selling goods or services you’re charged both a percentage of the transaction and a fixed fee.
If you’re selling in the US, you’re charged 2.9% of the transaction amount plus a $0.30 USD flat fee (this amount is based on the currency of the payment). For example, a payment of $50 USD will be charged $1.75 USD processing fee ($1.45 + $0.30). This means in the end, your payout will include $48.25 of the transaction.
If you’re using Shopify Payments to accept credit card payments in your store, you will pay credit card fees for each transaction depending on your plan (2.4% to 2.9% + 30c).
The common question merchants have is whether you will be double-billed if you’re using Shopify Payments and Paypal Express together as your payment gateways. The good news is you only pay the fees for the payment gateway that your customer uses to checkout. You will not be double-billed.

Sorry but I didn’t understand well. My question is do both the transaction fees of not using shopify payments and credit card fees apply if some one paid using paypal or any additional payment methods?
I mean the 2.9% + 30 cents + transaction fees of not using shopify payments 2%.

To clarify, the Basic plan charges 2% in Egypt for third-party gateways including PayPal. If PayPal charges a 4.4% transaction fee, that would be on top of that 2% percentage we take for third-party gateways.
In essence, the 2.9% + 30 cents sits under the Shopify payments section which in this case doesn’t apply given you won’t be using Shopify payments. So you would be charged 2% plus the Paypal fees.
