Filtering menu not appearing in the back-office - Impulse Theme OS 2.0

Good morning to all ! Hope your day is better than mine .

I have a very strange problem appearing on one of the stores I manage :

I’ve done a clean install of the last Impulse Theme (on OS 2.0) supposedly having storefront filtering enabled.
I’ve published the theme, but I still cannot see the filtering menu in Online Shop → Navigation (see below image on the left). On the Storefront side however, I can see the default ‘Availability’ and ‘Price’ filters enabled and I can use them without any issue.

I thought it was a theme related issue, but when I tried uploading the exact same theme on one of my development stores, the filters were appearing in the backoffice ? (see the 2nd image), and even custom filters using metafields were showing up on the storefront.

I’m failing to see what could cause this issue, so if you have any hints, please do share since both me and the theme developers seem to be at a loss regarding the issue.

Ok, replying to myself here but hoping it will help others :

What fixed it for me is to download (not publish) Dawn Theme.

My guess is that some themes marked as ‘OS 2.0’ like Impulse fail to tell the Shopify Backoffice that it should render the Storefront Filtering menu under Online Shop → Navigation, especially on stores that were launched before OS 2.0.

Since Dawn is Shopify-developped, it seems to be able to fix that even though it’s not published :-).

I have the exact same issue, but have Dawn theme installed.

Can’t find solution and Shopify Support don’t know why it is happening.

Hoping that someone else might see this and suggest a solution.
