My shop is selling original tshirts. I made the designs myself and they are not generic. Google has labeled every item this way and have not approved one item. Please help!
Thank You!
Hi @lclick415
I am assuming that you’re talking about the SEO of your shop. Please elaborate: “Google has labelled them generic”.
Where is the label, please share any screenshots that might explain better.
Cheers!
Thanks for helping! This is one site example
I attached what google has said about every product. It’s just a tshirt with my design on it.
If you get a generic error / warning in Google Merchant Center, that means Google sees a pattern that looks very similar to template / placeholder image.
Consider retaking the image differently. This is the only way to resolve that issue.
Also avoid photoshopping, ie take a real picture, not a template t-shirt with a image representing what you sell.
Hi @lclick415
Google think it’s generic because even though you have a custom printed shirt. The boy wearing it and the color of the shirt still seems common across google images.
I would recommend you to either add some icons or info on the borders of the image, or if possible, consider taking a photo from another perspective, or you can even use a 3d model to render your shirt on top of it.
And take a snapshot from slightly off angle instead of direct 90 degrees straight.
Hope this helps!
@wiseowl adding icons or info to the images, is not allowed. Reference: https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/6324350
