Google Merchant Center Suspension - Misrepresentation

Hello Good People,

I’m going crazy trying to appeal my Google Merchant Center suspension due to misrepresentation

The GMC suspension has also affected my Google Ad Account

I have identified some issues from my research and resolved them but I still couldn’t get the GMC suspension lifted

  • Verifying a Google Business Profile

-Removed all imported reviews from my website

  • Fixed all policy pages and contact pages

Please could someone with more experience, take a quick look at www.pizzaovenus.com and let me know if anything seems wrong

Hi, @chuka007 . I won’t be able to determine what’s causing this, but I can share some information to help you out! The following steps have been helpful for merchants experiencing this issue in this past:

  • Make sure you have filled out Google Fields on all products including:
    • The Google Category from the Google Taxonomy list
    • Size, age, color, gender
    • The product barcode (GTIN) if applicable (if no GTIN is applicable, products should be marked TRUE for “custom product”)
  • Review the website and make sure you have fully customized legal policies and a contact page linked in the footer of your store. You’ll also want to ensure there are no mentions of irrelevant products in your policies. Business emails should be customized too. For example, info@mystore.com instead of mystore@gmail.com.
  • Check that your products have unique titles and descriptions
  • If available in your region, participating in Google’s Customer Reviews program might help to build trust.
  • Review Google’s document on the ‘Misrepresentation’ issue and ensure you are complying with their policies.
  • Review the editorial and professional requirements from Google. The section on pop-ups is often an important section to pay attention to.
  • Grow My Store is a tool provided by Google that can asses customer experience on a website. This is a third party tool and not supported by Shopify, but it can give you personalized tips on how to address any issues found.

This third party guide from Feedonomics goes over information that can help with this as well.

I hope you’re able to get this resolved soon!

When I click enroll now on the B2B program page - it does not take me to any link. I think small things like this may contribute but not sure. Let us know how it goes.
