Google Merchant 'Misrepresentation' Issue

I tried listing my store’s products with Google Merchant, but received a notification saying – “Account suspended due to policy violation: Misrepresentation”. I’m not familiar with the Google Merchant set-up and I’m hoping that someone out there in expert land could please offer some advice or help in setting this up properly.

Here is a great list of tips for you: https://community.shopify.com/post/1086444

What if you have done literally all of this, you have worked with Shopify support and they cant find anything that would flag google?

Contacting Shopify is not going to work, they don’t know Google’s policies.

And contacting Google support will also not work, because since 2020, they have stopped sharing info.

The only way to increase your chances of getting approved is by finding all potential issues. Below is a new updated info source:

I now just got an email from google that I can’t request any further reviews and my merchant center is suspended.

Sorry to hear about that, that means you are permanently banned.

Yeah thats what I thought. And even if I tried to close the merchant account and open another, it would get flagged right? Shopify support really thought it was kosher.

Correct. Nothing you do will work. Because the suspension is linked to you the person, your website, your accounts, etc.

That is why many people fall in a false trap, by just appealing. But you need to really resolve all potential issues, ie dig deep.

Again sorry to hear you are suspended, the only way what you can do, is setup a new business entity, new website, new products, but that is a big job and requires you to follow specific steps, even then, chances of success is 50/50

Appreciate you time, thank you
