I’m hoping that someone in the community can help!.
I am looking to create a hamburger menu aligned to the left of my header. I believe that I have the dawn theme. For whatever reason I am unable to do this within the native Shopify design tabs.
I have attached a screenshot of what happens when I add a menu to the header with the add menu button.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

welcome back thank you for providing the url in advance, but if your working in the theme editor NO ONE can see what’s going on.
Please don’t guess at the theme, actually find out the name.
When your business is built on a thing you should have a better concrete idea of the parts.
The hamburger menu might only appear on mobile, check that.
There’s also the UX problem of when there’s only 2 nav items why make customers dig for that.
If the theme does not support or even have a hamburger menu then it’s an advanced theme customization to add it.
Though if the theme is old you may just want to look at newer free themes.

I have the original debut theme running.
Most everything I have done on the website has to be customized.
I haven’t taken a look a at new themes just yet but that could be an option to explore.
The menu items were just a test. That’s why there are only two options.

Hoping that I can retain this theme and further customize but I do realize that it may now be out of date. The theme file is still .scss 
Years behind, which can be perfectly okay.
You don’t necessarily have to upgrade really if you do NOT need any of the newer features like sections-everywhere, blocks, app-blocks etc. Or only upgrade because you need to do a bunch more customizations already found in other themes, etc.

The new themes are much more intuitive and easy to customize and tweak.
I think that I will revamp with a new theme. Save the headache of attempting to code/customize the old Debut theme I had.
