Has anyone experienced payment cancellations due to disallowed products?

Has anybody had shopify payments cancelled for having products not allowed? I sell tactical gear to military and police. Shopify in all their wisdom ($SHOP stock is down 70% by the way) says that some knives are ok, but some aren’t. So I removed those that aren’t. Then they came back and said ammo isn’t allowed, so I removed that. Then they said Pepper Spray is not allowed, so I removed that and on and on. Now they’ve cancelled it altogether because I apparently still have products that aren’t allowed, yet they will not tell me what those are. Frankly a weapon is a weapon, but somehow an assisted knife is worse than a fixed blade knife, which they allow. I’m not sure if it is them or the more liberal Stripe that is preventing the sales, in either case, they have Fletcher from their risk/legal department who also things that a box that holds ammo is bad. Its a f*cking box. I can carry a gun in a computer backpack, is that now a weapon too?

The problem is that they have somebody who is uneducated on actual weapons and products of that nature making a decision on what is or isn’t a weapon. Now they’ve hindered my potential sales and say they are happy for me to use another processor, but they will charge me 2% for the privilege of doing so. I have contacted several law firms, 2 of which have already had a class action against shopify. Which, as of Aug 25th, 2022, shopify has delayed, delayed, delayed. They are sure to lose, which will make their stock plummet even further.

The point of all this is to ask if this has happened to others, them holding funds, cancelling stripe only so they can charge you more, etc. If so, reach out to me at www.shopthearggroup.com if you are interested in joining a class action against them. Shopify somehow think they are too big to fail, but the reality is they are too big to care what customers thing and it shows in their stock price. They may have a large share of the marketspace, but more and more I see people leaving. Especially in my industry and certainly others when they mess with our money.

I look forward to hearing from those that want to join.
