[HELP] I'm a customer and I cannot return an order

Recently I purchased from this store: https://thesaintemarie.shop/collections/all. When my order arrived, it turns out that the item I received did not match the images they described. When I tried contacting them, I got no response after a week. Shopify help center is so useless because they ask for “Order confirmation URL” in the form after I click on “Report an issue with this order.” The problem is I cannot access my order confirmation url anymore.

When I click on “View my order” in the confirmation email, it just downloads an empty file.

I even reported the store to Shopify and I got no response and the store is still up. What an awful service.

They even make it so difficult to contact them. I’m stuck talking a looping-answer AI chat bot which is not helpful at all. Please somebody help.

Hi @djbon26

Thank you for reaching out about this. I understand your concern and I can see that you have had issues reviewing your order on their website. For the email, I recommend trying to right click the button that says “View your order” and “Copy link address”. Then paste that URL in a new browser tab. The code in their email to redirect to the website may just be broken.

In regards to returning your product, or receiving a refund, this is something that only the store you purchased from or your bank can assist with further. Shopify does investigate reports of fraudulent merchants and will take action when necessary to remove a store from our platform. We are not able to provide refunds for the orders customers have placed.

If you are still unsuccessful in contacting this store I recommend opening a claim with your bank or credit card company for additional support. This kind of claim will also flag the business on their hosting platform and with their payment gateway. It is the best and fastest way for action to be taken.

Hey,

Thanks for the reply but when I paste the copied url into the input it says “Invalid order confirmation URL”

I guess going to my bank is my last resort.
