HELP: Multiple Retail Locations with their own online sales sites or stores or pages?

Hi, I am new to shopify and I feel like what I am wanting to do is achievable but I cannot figure it out, please help.

I am setting up a store that splits revenue with the gym we stock our products at, so we need to be able to have a retail location for each gym we stock + an online store that has all our products but has some sort of the gyms brand, so we know where the purchases are coming from and the members know their buying from that gym… Wanting to keep our main domain and have the gym name as a subdomain or something?

We take our products into gyms and set up retail inside of them (permanent). We stock it and manage the inventory, they just use our pos app that’s set up there to sell products that are available at the gym and place orders for any that aren’t there. But we also need to have a online site for their gym, so if a member wants to order from anywhere (like at home) they can go to their gyms online site and know they are purchasing from that gym.

If the gyms members don’t have the direct link to the gyms store, the goal would be to have our home page just have a search bar (find your gym), the client can search their gyms name in it, click on it and it goes to the store with our logo and also the gyms logo, so they know that they are purchasing from their gyms page and therefore supporting their gym.

Each gym store would have categories and brands etc, so it’s not just one product page it would need to be like a complete separate site so they can navigate between different pages and still stay in their gyms store…

We would need to be able to track any online orders that have come through their online sites/retail.

I don’t know if I need to use Sub domains, collections, pages or just have each one as a separate store and use and app to manage them? I really hope there is someone who can show me a solution.

Thank you

I would use collection for each gym with product titles or description identifying a specific gym. For inventory management, I would enable multi-origin if providing pick up only. But, if you offer shipping and create multi-origin, shipping fees would become tricky since shopify adds shipping rates for each locations when your cart contains items from different locations. If you choose this option, we have a solution for multi-origin shipping rate issue.

Hi @Alexrewired ,

Shopify is for single vendor website but your requirement is like having kind of multivendor platform.

please refer the points how you can achieve the same, since it’s not simple flow lots of customisation would require to achieve the same.

  1. GYM website

for creating the gym website you will need to create pages for every gym.

pages can be custom Dev to assign different menu which will be different for all the stores.

Pages can be behave similar to a landing page which will helpful to show related collection to landing as well as header.

please refer to the below URL for different header menu with logo

  1. on product gym store will be mapped as vendor available in product in Shopify admin.

Vendor is visible to product page so that user get to know user buying it from which gym store.

This vendor will be linked with gym page for direct access of store.

  1. since gym is a page build in Shopify they will be searchable using the global search.

  2. For gym sub brand you can use meta field at product level which will be directly linked to the filter where only those product will be visible.

Let me know if you have any doubts or questions will be happy to assist you.
