Help with Inventory Locations vs Custom Fulfillment Locations

Hello, we have a third-party warehouse which stores and fulfills our product inventory. When new orders come in, they receive an email to notify them of the order. Do we need to setup a inventory location and a custom fulfillment location? We are currently doing this. See screenshot.

However, the products show inventory stocked at multiple locations. This is not correct. The inventory is all at one location. See screenshot:

The custom fulfillment location has some shipping rules setup and a notification email address. If we delete this custom fulfillment location, how do we assign these rules to the primary location and how do we setup a notification email for the primary location. I could not see these settings there. See screenshot.

The primary problem with the inventory showing in multiple locations is we are trying to setup a TikTok shop as well. Tiktok does not allow us to add products to their shop unless inventory is coming from a single location.

“Multiple locations” just means that the item can be stocked at multiple locations, rather than controlled only by 1 location. It’s normal to use Multiple Locations setting, even if you just have 1 location currently.

If you have an app giving you an error when adding a product to TikTok Shop, I would contact that app. It’s normal for stores to have multiple locations, most established stores do, so there’s likely a simple workaround to only assign TikTok Shop products to 1 location, the app you’re using should know how to do that.
