Hmm, something’s not right Please try again later. when connect pinterest to shopify

Topic summary

Issue: Connecting the Pinterest app to Shopify fails with “Hmm, something’s not right. Please try again later.” Some reports show HTTP 400 (Bad Request) on POST to s.pintergration.com.

Early troubleshooting suggested: reinstall the app, clear browser cache/use incognito, verify the Pinterest account, or contact Pinterest app support. One user also wondered if a recent Pinterest outage was a factor.

Key update/resolution from one user: The error can occur if the Pinterest Business account isn’t assigned to a supported country. Assignment is often handled via Pinterest Partners (e.g., Aleph Central Europe for Czech Republic) who provide a partner ID. Without a partner, default country support is limited and not fully listed, which can trigger the 400 error.

Open questions: Another user with an existing Business account and country selected still can’t connect and asked where to set the country and for an official list of supported countries. No list or official confirmation was provided.

Status: Partially resolved (country/partner requirement) but not universally confirmed. Next steps: verify country eligibility, contact a Pinterest Partner or Pinterest Support to assign the correct country/partner ID, then retry after basic troubleshooting.

Dear Community,

Whenever I try to connect the Pinterest app to Shopify with my business Pinterest login info, it just goes like this.

Anyone can assist with this issue?

Hi @graphic_1 There can be few things that you can do so that it will solve your issue.

  1. Try to uninstall and again install the app.
  2. Remove Cache from your browser or try to open your store and pinterest on incognito mode.
  3. Check if your pinterest account is working fine.

If still it is not working you can try to connect with the Pinterest app support and they can specify you why it is happening.

If you will need any other help then please feel free to ask the same.

Hopefully it will help you. If yes then Please don’t forget hit Like and Mark it as solution!

Best Regards

Sahil

Hi @graphic_1 .

Just wanted to ask, did you resolve the issue? I am having the same problem for the last week or so and pinterest had a big server crash so I don’t know if I am doing something wrong or pinterest isn’t working.

Thanks for letting me know!

Still having the same issue, Error 400 at POST https://s.pintergration.com/proxy/sda/v4/resitrevdas/ 400 (Bad Request)

Hello, did you solve the issue?

Hello,

yes, we resolved it, it is not an error.

The business account you have on pinterest must be assigned to a country that is supported, mostly it is handled by pinterest partners, for example in Czech republic we use Aleph Central Europe, they will assign you a partner id and you can create a business account for country you need, without the partners the countries are very limited by default and they are not all listed, this is the reason you get this error. It should be better explained in the “error”, unfortunatelly it is very confussing.

Thanks for sharing, I already have a Pinterest account and I am using it to promote my business, I am not sure where you have updated your country, other that personal details.

Any suggestions on how to solve this error? Even if I already have the country selected, this is still not working.

Hey :waving_hand: , then I am sorry to say that, but your country is probably not supported under your current partner.

Hello, how can you know my country is not supported? Do you know any list of supported countries? I have not even mentioned my country :slightly_smiling_face: but anyway, please provide me with the supported countries list if you have one and I can take it from there. Thanks
