I’m doing some work on a store that uses the Dawn theme. There’s a collection called “Home page” with 17 products. Is it safe to delete this? I’m confident it’s not being used anywhere but maybe it’s a default system collection, perhaps being used for the main store page?

Yes, that’s a default collection created by Shopify when you create a new store so it’s completely safe to delete it if you’d like.

It’s not required by the system.
However, it may be referenced somewhere in theme settings/code/metafields etc.
To be on the safe side, I’d rather unpublish it first and see if something breaks.
If all good – delete.

Yes, it is safe to delete it since it is created by default, so you can assign it to the featured collection section if you add it.

Hey,
In shopify the collection name by “Home“ is the default collection that contain all the products that your store has.
As per you said that it has 17 products in it then it mean your store has 17 products in total.
You can safely delete it.
If you need help to delete it with safely mode then share the 4 digits collab code in the p/m.

It based on you that where you want to delete it.
If you are selling the same collection in the POS then it’s your decision that you want to delete their or not.

The store has 21 products, but maybe it only had 17 when it was first created?
Yes, deselect all and save.

The other 4 products should be in Draft of Archived.

Yes, when you create a store, there’s usually a default collection called “Home Page.” If you’re sure it’s not being used anywhere, it’s safe to delete it.
