How can I add a custom payment icon to my website's footer?

Hi

How do I add an icon to the payment icons in the footer om my website? It shows the methods/icons available from Shopify Payments, but not my alternative payment methods (in this case the Mobilepay logo)

Thank you for getting in touch. Can you please tell me if you’re using a vintage Shopify theme, or one of our Online Store 2.0 themes? A breakdown od the differences between these theme types can be found on the Shopify Help Center. The type of theme you’re using may impact how best to add these payment icons to your footer.

Right, thank you. Expression is indeed an Online Store 2.0 theme, although it is built and supported by a third-party developer.

I can see in the theme editor that it is possible to add payment icons to the footer:

However, if you’re not seeing the Mobilepay logo, it might be because it is an alternative payment method and does not automatically appear in this list as a result.

For this reason, you’ll likely need to add it manually to your theme’s footer by editing your theme’s code. This is something you can try doing yourself, but if you are not comfortable editing code then you can look at hiring a Shopify Expert to do this for you. Alternativelty, you could ask others in the Shopify Community’s Technical Q&A section for assistance and instructions.
