Hello Shopify Community,
I am looking to add a “White Glove Service” since we sell furniture. How can I make this available? I edit this photo by adding “White Glove Service.” Is this consider an upsell, if so. What is the best app for this? I’m transitioning from BigCommerce and it was easy to add. But, I’m a bit lost on Shopify. Of course, the White Glove Service will be an additional charge. I would like to have this option under each product (depending on the item of course).

Apps are generally the go-to solution for a feature like this and would be more cost-effective rather than hiring a coding expert. I suggest trying out an app first, seeing how it works then re-evaluating implementing a permanent custom solution down the road.

Thank you for your reply regarding this subject. Unfortunately, after reviewing some of the suggestion and reviewing other apps. I am unable to find the one I am searching for. Most of these are bunch of up-sell which is good. But, my mission is to allow customer to add an additional service for $x.xx amount. I really don’t want to make this complicated than it is. I just want to have an option at the check out for them to add it or not depending on the customer at the end of the day.
This is an example from Room To Go! After you check out, you have the option to pay for an additional service or just a simply drop-off.

As a workaround, you could look at adding a separate Shipping Rate within your Shipping Profile. This would allow customers to choose between the standard delivery option or the white glove service, see the example below:

Thank you for pointing me to the right direction! This actually saved me from digging 3rd party apps. Exactly what I was looking for when it comes to the shipping. This also allowed me to find a 3rd party company to partner up as well. So, it was a win-win situation.

Hi James, so in conclusion did you do the “Workaround” suggested above via Maria, or did you opt for a third party app, or was it a combo of both?

It was a combination of both to be honest. Moria suggested “Setting up shipping rates · Shopify Help Center” which is what I was actually aiming for in the first place. It allowed me to create multiple delivery options.
While I was waiting for the right answer. I came across a business that offers White Glove Service for other states where I can use their 3rd party app on Shopify and it does the same thing as “Setting up Shipping Rates” but this will be more focus for outside my state. This eliminates me from searching 3rd party company to handle it.

If you want to able to to this just in the cart with a static price then this can with the gift-wrap customization and be modifying the wording. Can be gotten for free when using a shopify theme.

Thank you for the suggestion of the “Gift Wrap.” I’ll have this saved up, if we do decide to deal with small decoration when it comes to furniture. It will be perfect for our customers to buy a gift for friends or family.

I am in need of the exact service provider for the home goods I sell online. I sell altars for home and they are like any other cabinets but a bit more pleasing design and I want a white glove service provider for all states other than my own state.
