Hello Community, I know there’s a lot of apps to have product add-ons. But since I’m getting a hang of customizing I’d like to know if someone has come across a tutorial or guide how to do this yourself? Or willing to give me any hints 
I’ve checked many youtube video’s but none of them include the price option. For example I’d like to add the option of selecting a gift card with a note for an additional $2. Or add a fancy gift box for an additional price.

If you have a basic shopify them you can even get it installed for free for the cart page.
Alternatively look at upsell/crossell apps
Thanks @PaulNewton but I’m not that advanced yet to change that to Shopify 2.0. And no I don’t have a Shopify free theme.
With a online store 2.0 theme see if there’s a custom-liquid block section for the cart page.
If so just try coping the code from that tut into a custom-liquid setting.
