How do I add % of the total cart as fees on certain types of payments?
Example,
For customers paying with card - they will be charged a transaction fee of 2%
For customers using instalment payment option - they will be charged a transaction fee of 5%
For customers using the COD option - they will be charged no fees.
Can this be done?
I will be grateful to everyone who takes their time and helps me out!

Unfortunately it’s not possible to add fees to an order based on the payment method on Shopify if the payment method is prepaid (like credit card or installment). This is because Shopify does not allow anyone, including apps, to edit or alter the checkout process in any way which means that when a customer selects a payment method on the checkout no one can add a fee to the order total.
Specifically for Cash on Delivery (and other manual payment methods) you can use our app Releasit Cash On Delivery Fee that allows you to add a % fee only to COD orders. You can install the app for free from the Shopify App Store here: https://apps.shopify.com/cash-on-delivery-fee

In case your store is located in India, you can use “Advanced COD” app by Shopify to set different charges for COD orders.

Unfortunately no, that is not technically possible in Shopify. Discounts can’t be applied based on the payment method selected by the customer at checkout.
You can apply a fee on the Cash on Delivery payment method which will work great to incentivize other forms of payments like credit card or wire transfer!

we made it possible! Many customers requested this feature and no app developer was able to deliver it, so we created PioPay - Discount for Payment Methods.
The only requirement is that you are running on Shopify Plus.
