Cash On Delivery fee calculated on total checkout?

Hello!

I want to know if there is a setting or an existing third-party app or a way to create a new app so i can add an extra fee on the COD payment method.

For example, let’s say that the subtotal cost is 50€, the shipping cost is free and the customer chooses the COD payment method that has fee 3€. The total cost should be 53€ but in default shopify checkout it doesn’t calculate the COD fee.

I know there are apps that can add a fee on COD option. The problem is that when a customer chooses this payment method doesn’t add a line for the cod fee in the order total breakdown. So the customer doesn’t know the true total cost of the order.
