Hey, I recently ordered a few items from this store named “Appliances-TheHomeDepot” and the next the the store became unavailable. I would like to forge a complaint and would want help getting my money back. I’ll attach screenshots of the payment for clarity.
Hi, @Saransh25
Sorry to hear you’ve had a negative experience with a store you believe is using the Shopify platform. I understand the frustration after returning to the storefront to see that it’s no longer available. To explain a little, Shopify is the website and shopping cart service that some merchants use to run their online store, however, we do not manage the shipping or sales of the store. I’d be happy to explain what your best next steps are for recourse regarding your order.
We recommend that you report an issue with your order via this link, look for the option to Get support as a customer of a Shopify store. Submitting the order issue form will connect you directly with the store you ordered from.
If you don’t receive your order in a reasonable amount of time, and you have exhausted all attempts to resolve this directly with the merchant, you can contact your credit card provider or PayPal for further options regarding your payment and possible refund options. We cannot recover your money for you as we do not operate businesses on behalf of our merchants on the platform.
I’d like to stress that we absolutely do not condone any type of fraudulent activity on Shopify. If this does happen to be a Shopify store, filing a claim with your bank will trigger a notification internally, which we can use to investigate the store as needed. We will take a look into the stores’ activity and take action where appropriate. For legal and privacy reasons we will not be able to share the results of this investigation with you.
This information is also found within our FAQ: Your Online Order page. We appreciate you taking the time to report this here.
