I have a “C corp”, I can’t complete the registration because the site requires SSN for another shareholder of the company who is not a US resident, taxes will be paid by the company and not the shareholder, how do I fix this error on the site?
Hi @azmass
Welcome to the Shopify Community.
I can see you have some concerns about business verification for your store, specifically in regards to an SSN request for another shareholder which is preventing you from registering on Shopify - I would be happy to steer you in the right direction to receive help.
I would like to clarify that here on the Shopify Community, we cannot access your account information, so we can only provide generalised advice based off the information you provide here in your replies.
If you are seeing issues with the information being requested for account verification, then I would recommend that you reach out to our support team directly at your earliest convenience. You can reach our team via our help center here. One of our support advisors would be happy to check this out with you, and engage the correct specialised team for assistance if necessary.
For more context on the information requirements for using Shopify Payments, I would suggest checking out this resource here, which outlines the various pieces of information that may be requested from you and your business, which includes the beneficial owners of a particular corporate entity. With that said, we aren’t able to provide any tax registration advice for your store/company setup, so it’s always advisable to consult with a legal professional, as they can provide guidance on how to navigate this situation and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
