cause when I do I still get the edit option at the bottom

Just to get some additional context, where would you like to share your online store URL? You can get your online store URL by navigating to Settings > Domains to see the list of domains that direct visitors to your online store.
If you are noticing that there is an Edit button at the bottom of your online store - this is something only the admin or staff accounts with permission to edit the theme can view. This is to allow you to quickly edit your online store if you notice that a change is needed to be made. I took a screenshot from my test store to show you the section that I am referring to:
