How can I create unique product descriptions?

Product Descriptions are all the same, but I want them all separate. How do I go about it? I had to remove everything.

Hey @Jeweljones0 ,

Welcome to the Community!

Are you by chance using the same template for all products? For context, when you make changes in your theme editor you are editing a specific template which is then applied to the pages, products, etc. that you create within your Shopify Admin. When you make a change to your product page in your theme editor, you are actually editing your Default product template. This template is automatically applied to all of your product pages (unless you manually change the template that’s being used). This means that when you add text into the “Description” section in your theme editor, you are adding that text to every page using that product page template (which is all of your products, by default). You can read more about templates on this page here.

Instead of editing your product information in your theme editor, you will want to edit this information on the product page in your Shopify Admin.

To create separate product descriptions for your store, you can follow these steps:

  • Log in to your Shopify admin panel and go to the Products page.
  • Choose the product you want to edit by clicking on it.
  • In the “Description” section, remove the existing product description.
  • Enter a new product description that is unique to that product. You can include details about the product’s features, benefits, and any other relevant information that will help customers make a purchasing decision.
  • Save the changes by clicking the “Save” button at the bottom of the page.
  • Repeat this process for each product on your Shopify store.

By following these steps, you can create unique product descriptions for each product on your Shopify store. It’s important to make sure that your descriptions are well-written and informative, as this can help to improve your store’s search engine rankings and increase your sales.
