I am located in Australia, however I also ship to NZ. My store is $ displayed in AUD. If my customers are located in NZ & I have Markets turned on for NZ, will prices be displayed in their currency or still just AUD?
I read that to display a drop down of currency I need to pay & hire a coder to make a liquid to add to my theme to be able to do this.
To allow customers to switch regions and currencies on your store, you’ll need an app that will help add this feature to your storefront. Geolocation is an example of such app that can help.
If you’ve added your first country or region on your Shopify admin however, the Geolocation app should automatically be added to your Shopify store. If the app hasn’t been installed, you can install it manually via our app store here. Once installed, you can setup the app to show region recommendations to your visitors by following the instructions on our help guide here. Just a note that while the Geolocation app provides recommendations for customers for their region and currency, customers will need to accept the recommendation in order to browse your store in their local currency.

I have already set up my store & it is active. I just had a NZ customer this morning ask how they can see my items in NZD as they were still all showing AUD so I wasn’t sure how I can make this happen without needing to hire someone to create a liquid for a dropdown option.
I can see on my apps Geolocation is now downloaded but I can’t see if its active if someone from NZ goes to my site (I guess because I am in Australia?).
No, It’s not working properly. You can do place the currency switcher dropdown to the top right corner in the header near to account icon. So users can easily change the currency according to their location. Also, you can contact to app support team to resolve this issue.
I can’t, that’s the problem. There is no currency dropdown for me to add to the header… Geolocation is active but clearly that didn’t help, yikes lol. I was hoping I didn’t need to pay for someone to make a liquid just so customers can change currency.
I have been trying to reach chat all day, but sends me directly back to the help centre. It’s getting frustrating.
I’ve just accessed your store and there was a pop-up that asked me to change my region, as this is the first time that I’m accessing your store from my browser. So the Geolocation app looks to be functioning as intended on your store. I’ve attached an image below for reference:
If they clicked out of this pop-up however and would like to change the currency on your store manually, they can go to the bottom of your store to make the change, as seen on this video.
Regarding the issues you’re having with accessing our help centre, if you’re still wanting to contact our live support team are you able to try the following troubleshooting steps:
Navigate to our help centre and try to contact our support team via an incognito window
Or, you can use your usual browser but to clear the browser’s cache and cookies
