I am just wondering how do I update the search results page.
I have a word search bar on my website and when someone searches for a product e.g. swimming pools and its not a listed product a page comes up that say “----- did not yield any search results”
I would like to add to this page if possible.

Are there any specific details you’d like to add to this page? Or, are you hoping to completely redesign it?
If you’d like to edit the text that appears on the page now, just follow these steps:
This is a great option to use if you’re looking to make minor changes to the text, or want to add a few more words.
However, if you’re instead looking to make sizeable changes to this page, or add in a new design altogether, the options available depend on which theme you’re using. If you’re using a Shopify-developed theme, I can certainly take a look at your ideal edits and confirm if any changes are possible. If you’re using a third-party theme though, it’s best to speak with your theme developer directly about the changes that can be made.
With this in mind, which theme are you using? You can find this information directly in your Shopify admin under ‘Online store > Themes > Current theme’.

Loved your detailed response.
I am also looking for this solution. I want them to see a pre order button whenever there is no result. This button will take users to the contact form where they can fill out details to pre order what they were looking for.
Can I add the form link by editing that language section that you showed earlier?
