Hello,
I got billed for an account I completely forgot I had and I did not receive an email meaning I probably do not have access to that email. Firstly, is it possible to get that amount refunded since I have not used the store for 2 months and how do I even know which account was used. Thank
Hi, @deividasdasdasa . I’m happy to help you out with this!
The best way to find this store is to use this page. If you enter your email address on that page you’ll receive an email at the email address you entered listing any stores associated with it. I recommend trying this with all of the email addresses you may have used to maximize your chances of finding the store. If you’re able to find the store this way, you’ll want to close it by following these steps.
If you’ve tried that and you’re still unable to find the store we may be able to help you locate it. We aren’t able to see any account details here over the Shopify Community, but if you reach out to us through this page we’d be able to help further. When you contact us there we’ll likely ask for the following information so you’ll want to have this ready:
- If the charge was on a credit card:
- The first 6 and last 4 digits of the credit card
- A screenshot or image of a banking statement showing the Shopify invoice number, including the charge amount and date. Other sensitive information, like charges occurring from other sources, can be hidden as long as the invoice number, charge amount, and dates are visible.
- If the charge is through a PayPal account:
- The email address used on the PayPal account
- A screenshot of the transaction from PayPal showing the 8 or 9 digit Shopify invoice number, the charge amount, and date.
We typically don’t refund subscription fees. This is explained in Shopify’s Terms of Service here. That being said, if you speak with our support team we can review this with you in more detail.
Please let me know if you have any questions!
