New to shopify, How do I import files from Dropbox. I dont have CVS files.
can you please contact Shopify Help Center
Hey there, @SouthernGlamWig !
Thanks for reaching out to the Shopify Community with your question! This is a great place to come anytime you have questions about your Shopify Store, or anything else Shopify related!
CSVs are usually the best way to bulk upload data to your Shopify store as your admin is able to accommodate those sorts of uploads. Uploading files directly from Dropbox isn’t natively supported by your Shopify Admin, but there are some Shopify Partner applications that you can consider that should help with uploading those files from Dropbox. I have two options here for you below:
- If you’re looking to upload product images from your dropbox, you can consider using SyncIMG to assist with that. Shopify typically needs direct links for your images in order to use them but this application helps with getting that information from Dropbox so your files are usable.
- Another applications folks have used to import information from Dropbox has been Matrixify. This application seems to be able to do it based on information from other users so this may be something you can consider. It does look like this functionality is locked behind one of it’s paid plans, but you can likely contact the app developers directly to get the information on this.
- Another suggestion is ChannelApe. This application is also expensive and appears to be a large scale business management system to accommodate several integrations in your store. Conveniently, this application has a direct phone number to contact their developers for any support you may need with it if you decide to give it a try.
A completely third party application that may work for you is a Zapier integration that links Dropbox to your store. Since this integration is completely third party, we here at Shopify can’t comment on it or how it works but you can consider reaching out to Zapier and they may able to explain the integration for you. This may be the more cost effective method when looks at the other options I provided above.
The poster before me also mentioned reaching out to our live support team. This could be helpful to you as the Support Advisor you connect with may be able to provide you with some additional options. You can contact them at the following link here.
I’ll keep my eyes peeled for a reply in case you have any further questions!
Renars here from Matrixify.
Thank you for suggesting the use of our app for this task @Imogen_1
You sure can import CSV and XLSX files from your dropbox folder into Shopify by using our app.
Here we do have a great tutorial on how to Schedule import to Shopify from Dropbox.
The feature is available in all subscription plans, even in the Demo plan. The paid app plan would depend on items you need to import/export at a time. Check out our “Pricing” page to learn our app costs and limits for each paid plan.
Do note that the file needs to be in the correct format for the app to be able to import it.
If you wish to look more into using our app to import your CSV files, please reach out to Matrixify app support directly.
I ve tried zapier and that didnt work but ill try the others

Hi there,
hope below helps.
check out this blog.
https://wholesomeness.sg/blogs/blog/bulk-upload-product-image-urls-from-dropbox-to-shopify-using-csv
It uses excel macro to bulk extract image URLs from Dropbox, then replaces the URLs domain paths.
Simply copy the resulting URLs into your CSV file.
Cheers
