How can I improve the resolution of a blurry website banner?

I have added a banner to the website and it appears very blurry. What can I do to get rid of the blur? Is there a way to edit the resolution of the image banner within the code?

Thank you for the reply. What resolution should the image have in order to fit the slideshow and to not have any blur?

I recommend resolution is 1900x600
