How can I include estimated pick up time in SMS notifications?

Hi,

I have read through the documentation of the order object that was used for SMS purposes.
And I was not able to find the part where it allow you to send the est. pick up time to the customer.

Do I simply missed it? Or is there some other app I can install for that to happen?

Thanks.

I forgot to mention, I wanted to add the time in the Order Confirmation SMS.

Hi, [email removed]WiWong!

If you would like to insert a pick-up time into your Order Confirmation SMS template, you can do so by -

  1. In your Shopify admin, navigate to Settings > Notifications.

  2. Click on Order Confirmation.

  3. Switch over to the SMS template and edit the template so it can include your business pick - up hours.

  4. Click on Preview on the top right to view as a final SMS.

I would also like to recommend implementing the app Tip Quik | Tip Pop‑up in Cart. This is a great opportunity to give customers the option to add a tip for your business and staff before checkout. This will allow customers to express their gratitude to you. It’s a good win-win for everyone.

Hi Nia,

Thanks for your help.
Though I probably should have explain this a bit further.

What I wanted to do is to add a Est. pickup time for the order itself.
Something like… your order will be available for pickup by X:XX.

Thank you for clarifying that for me! So the pick up time will vary for each order, is that correct?

The only way to edit the SMS confirmation template is through the steps provided in my previous post. My suggestion for this feature would be to look at hiring a developer who may be able to implement this feature into your store. You can take a look through Shopify Experts and filter your search according to your budget, location, and rating!

I can also put this through as feedback to our own developers who can look into implementing this in the future!

You could tag the order with the time and reference the orders tags in the template.

Or if your using an app to that sets delivery times on a metafield reference that instead.
