I understand generating sales can feel quite tricky or you’re not sure where to start. Not to worry as there are some tips I’ll be happy to share with you to help you out.
Driving traffic to your store
To help generate traffic to your store, first I recommend sharing your website on social media whether that be Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Tiktok etc. This can help reach a larger audience and get more eyes and traffic to your store. You can also share your social media handles directly on your Shopify store so customers can easily click and browse. Reaching out to friends and family can help with word of mouth. The more you’re sharing your website through different people and networks, the more traffic can be targeted for your store.
Paid advertising
Have you already had a chance to look into paid advertising? Many different social platforms have different ways you can use paid advertising to target an audience, setup a budget, direct a potential customer to a specific page and reach a larger audience. Some of the top social platforms to advertise on are Instagram and Facebook where you can use hashtags to target different groups and increase views.
Testing out your store
I recommend navigating to your store as a customer would and go through the customer experience. This can help identify areas of opportunity as you’re seeing it from your customers point of view. I’ll share below some points to note when you’re viewing your store.
- Do customers wait a long time for a page to load? Store speed can affect the amount of time customers spend on your site. Check out our help center resource for ways to improve your store’s online speed.
- Do I have clear policies included on my website? This can help create a sense of trust on your store as customers can easily locate this section for any questions or concerns. If you haven’t had a chance to setup your store policies, feel free to review our help resource for more information.
- Does my store have an About Us page? This is a great opportunity to introduce your brand, create customer engagement and loyalty and share your brand’s story. I’ll share our Shopify Blog resource for how to draft an About Us page that includes templates and examples.
