Well, here, I want to give my opinion on this, and I am sure most of you will agree with it. SEO is hard to grasp at first, but the best way to learn is to take it step by step. You can start by following steps.
- Use tools like Google Keyword Planner or Ubersuggest to do some keyword research first.
- Make sure your content is what people are really looking for (search intent).
- Do the basics: make sure your titles, headings, and content are easy to read.
- Learn from what your competitors are doing.
Lastly, I will say that SEO isn’t about magic tricks; it’s about making small changes over time and writing high-quality content all the time. Consistency is the key to winning in SEO.
Hi Keith,
I recommend studying more on SEO: the Shopify Blog, which will help you improve store ranking and generate more traffic. Focus on knowledge sharing and implementing the basics; it will be helpful to learn and earn.

Hey Keith — totally get where you’re coming from, SEO can feel like a maze until you have a clear framework. A good starting point is to focus on keyword mapping: assign one primary keyword (and a few related ones) to each page so you’re not competing with yourself in search results. Use tools like Google Keyword Planner, Ubersuggest, or even Shopify’s built‑in analytics to find terms with decent search volume but lower competition, and match transactional keywords to product/collection pages while using informational keywords for blog content. From there, optimize your on‑page elements (titles, meta descriptions, headings, alt text) and make sure your site loads fast and is mobile‑friendly. Shopify’s own SEO guide and this keyword mapping walkthrough are great step‑by‑step resources to build a strategy you can actually stick to. Once you’ve got that foundation, it’s just a matter of tracking results in Google Search Console and refining over time.
