How can I limit total quantities for different-sized products?

Hi there, We need help figuring out how to limit quantities as a whole for different-sized products.

In this case we have hand made rings that come in different sizes, when entering stock for each different designed ring we enter how many we have in actual stock, eg 10 rings in stock, this then applied 10 total rings in stock for each size varient, making the total in stock to look like there is over 100. How do I change this so I can sell 1 of 1 products which can be made in different sizing

In your case, we suggest you use the “Product variant” feature in Shopify. Here’s how:

  • Go to Products → All products → Choose the products you want to add size variant → add variants
  • Enter the size and any other variant-specific details, such as color or material.
  • Enter the quantity available for each size variant.
  • Save the variant.
  • Repeat steps for each size variant you want to offer.
