I am trying to list my products for my clothing brand, but I am running into a quantity issue. I have 50 blank shirts in total, 4 different sizes with specific quantities in each size, and 4 different designs to choose from. I want to be able to publish all 4 designs and 4 sizes so people can choose what they want without me having to put a quantity for every single variant when creating a new product. I am trying to do a print on demand sort of thing, make the inventory synchronize to my stock, but it is making me input quantities for every single variant and I only have a specific amount of shirts in each size. Yes, it’s possible. As you have a bit complex requirement, I think that it needs to make several changes to the codes. However, I would recommend not to make any changes to the coding, because there’re many Shopify apps that can fulfill this requirement. I think that KOR Order Limit Purchase app has the feature to apply restrictions on quantities of product variants.
Finally I conclude that this can be achieve by any Shopify app and it’s advisable not to try changing the code.
