I’m completely lost. When I first did the trial awhile back it showed me direct products to list for sale (drop ship) I didnt have to add apps. It seems like I’m selling for other dropshippers and not direct from a supplier now??? What would be the point of that??
also I can’t find where to edit the text on my storefront webpage. I thought everything was here. If someone tells me I have to pay for yet another app to edit my Shopify store page I’ll scream. This is starting to nickel and dime me to death and I’ve got zero products to sell. 1000% times more complicated than it was a year ago!! Can someone clarify? Oh! And now when I go to add products I don’t get any options except Sprocket
Thanks for posting to the Community. I hope your day is going well!
It sounds like you began your store when Shopify operated the dropshipping app Oberlo, as Shopify never provided products to dropship. Still, we owned the app Oberlo, a dropshipping app. Unfortunately, this app has been sunset and is no longer available.
I appreciate not wanting to use an app. That being said, there are a few free apps available that make dropshipping easy! The best example of this is DSers. Again, this is entirely free.
Additionally, another option is to create products yourself and dropship entirely manually. This is doable but an extremely tedious process. While the app above allows you to easily import products and orders to your Shopify store, manually adding products would mean searching AliExpress yourself, saving images and creating products in Shopify, and then purchasing these orders manually in AliExpress when you receive an order.
When editing your storefront, you do not need an app. You can edit your customer-facing site via your Shopify Admin > Online Store > Customize. Please clarify what parts of the store you have trouble editing so I can steer you in the right direction. We also have some excellent help guides on how to edit your theme and landing pages.
Lastly, as you’re planning on dropshipping, I recommend checking out our free course Dropshipping 101. This will guide you on how to complete your store, make it professional, and market to your target audience.
