How can I list two product variants with the same SKU separately?

I have two variants for the same product: One tan and one black.

I would like them to show up as different listings at the collection level. Shopify and our inventory system both get mad when you use the same SKU on two listings.

How can I make this work while using the same SKU on two listings?

Hi,

As far as I know,you have two variants for the same product, then each variant should have a unique SKU. Read more【SKU Format->Unique】

Example:

In my store,there are 6 SKU for the Motor.

So,I have some questions, hope you can answer me:

What is “different listings”? and How does the “different listings” represented in your store?Please share your store URL or screenshot.

Why do you want to show same product(tan and black) in different list?Maybe there are other solutions.

Hi Colin! Thanks for responding. We want people to see that they can get our bag in black or in tan at the collection level, but also at the product level once they enter the listing. :slightly_smiling_face:

I think each category of product corresponds to one collection.Functionally,tan bag and the black bag are a category of item so they belong to collection Toiletry Bags.

If you would like them to show up as different listings,you can create collections from other perspectives.

example:
collection Pot-holing Club = black bag, black can give people a scene of mysterious and unknown.
collection Beach Playground = tan bag, tan can give people a scene of a clean and relaxing in beach.
