Hello,

How my custom domain will comes as secure? I need to make my custom domain secure. But, I have no idea for it. I have checked my shopify portal. But, I didn’t get any idea for it.

Great question! It’s always important to make sure that your domain is secure. Was this custom domain purchased through Shopify? Also, are you seeing any error messages that indicate your custom domain is not secure?

There are a few steps to ensure the security of your custom domain. First you’ll want to head over to your Settings > Domains section.

To ensure your custom domain is secure, you’ll want to acquire a TLS certificate. A TLS certificate is issued automatically if you’ve purchased a custom domain through Shopify or if you’ve connected your third-party domain. To see if your TLS certificate has been issued, you can verify the status of your domain so that it displays as Connected within your Settings > Domains section.

Here are some benefits of having a TLS certificate on your store:

  • A padlock will be displayed next to your domain name within the search bar.
  • It will add an additional layer of security by protecting customer data.

If this is a third-party domain, are you seeing any SSL errors on your end? The reason I ask is that if you’ve recently connected your third-party domain to Shopify, it can take up to 48 hours for the TLS certificate to be issued.
