How can I manage t-shirt inventory for my screen print business?

I am starting a Tshirt/ScreenPrint business…I am having trouble with inventory. I have a certain amount of each screen print and a certain amount of each color of t shirt. I have more colors/sizes of shirts than i do of the screen print. When I add sizes and colors it gives more options than I have screen prints. Is there a way to have customer pick size and color within the available amount of screenprints I have?

Can you clarify the question for me a bit. I have some experience with a very similar Shopify business. Are the prints added as an option? Like Option1: Size, Option2: Color, Option3: Print?

If so, each combination of options is a Variant product. So if you have 5 colours, 5 sizes, and 5 prints, that’s 5x5x5 = 125 different variants, each with their own inventory. So tshirt_Blue-StarWars-XL (as a random example) would be an option that you can set the specific inventory for. Or is that not the issue at hand?

Yes…That is what I am having trouble with. I think am not understanding
the variant vs inventory. I have lets say as an example I have a quantity
of 10 of each screen print and have multiple colors, sizes of tshirts…
how would that work?

I have a certain amount of each print and certain amounts of colors/sizes
of shirts…I am having trouble setting it up. I think I am not
understanding the variant and inventory when I am setting it up

Hey sorry for the delay. Basically, you can consider each combination of options it’s own product, so when you create a tshirt product, and you add the options Size, and Print, and you put 5 sizes, and 5 prints, it creates 25 different sub-products (variants) each with their own stock. Go into your product, scroll down to the list of variants (not options), and it should have a price field, followed by a quantity field.

Hope that cleared it up, although you probably figured it out yourself by now?
